Bournmouth and Wimbledon,

BOURNEMOUTH, end of JUNE.

We flew into London a few days before Wimbledon to catch up with family and friends.

Had a great weekend with Dawn and Alvin, and Sue and Chris May from NZ, and Dawns brother, Andre and his wife, Julie, all old school friends, (poor Max)

We cycled down the waterfront from Christchurch towards Bournemouth to a great little cafe for dinner. Urban Reef on the Boulevard.

Such a lovely evening, warm and sunny.  Andre has a fantastic little beach hut, typical quant English style, on the beach. (as you can see above) and we had a Pimms to start the night off.

WIMBLEDON, 2nd July.

Wimbledon is an amazing place, it is huge and well set out. The organisation to run it would be mind boggling. Centre court , any seat gives you a good view and we saw 2 very good 3 set matches, the Womens quarter final games, Na Li v Radwanska, and Flipkens v Kvitova. ………………………………………Really difficult to have a favourite when the famous names you know have been knocked out, BUT still great to see such fantastic tennis being played.. and they can really hit the ball hard.………….

NOW WE ARE BACK IN ST JEAN de LOSNE,

And its the 10th July, and we are about to set off, actually set off,  REALLY SET OFF, towards Strasbourg.

The days seem to slip by so easily and the French do not push themselves or seem to work to time tables. The work is now done, the bill nearly paid and,, hey we can really start this years floating holiday. BUT, hold on, we are still waiting for one piece of pipe to be installed and its 11.30 am already.!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are planning to meet up the Joanne and David Lynch Watson again near Bescanon,  as they make their way back from visiting the Eastern European countries, to the UK, before returning to NZ to spend August skiing in Wanaka.
