We are nearly in Paris….

We made really good time coming into Paris along big wide nearly empty canals/rivers towards Paris. WE did do some long days starting at 7-8 am but finishing mid afternoon.

L’Isle-Adam, a delightful little town on the Oise, which has made a lovely swim park area with real sand and a beach like environment.                   The French are very good at making lovely summer areas inland.

And this is what the French do best, anywhere, any chance they get, anytime of day.  Its not as if they ever really eat much of the fish they catch.. its just a sport.!!!!

23th June.

We finally arrive at Conflans-Ste-Honorine where we join The Seine River 70kms down stream from Paris.

This is the place to store barges and where a lot of old bargees’ retire. There were loads of barges of all sorts 3-4 deep stacked up along the river’s edge.

  1. Would love to be there. However only two days until our beach residence. Notso many attractions or cafes at Manly but quiet place for old couple !!!!
